Mariya Salyuk
Conservator
I joined the studio in 2024. Before joining SGS, I worked in private conservation studios in Ukraine, Italy, and the UK, gaining experience with a wide range of paintings and conservation approaches.
I studied Fine Art and Conservation before completing an MA in Conservation at the Palazzo Spinelli Institute in Florence. My international training has given me a broad perspective on conservation practice and an appreciation for the different traditions and techniques used across Europe.
I particularly enjoy the combination of scientific investigation, technical problem-solving, fine art skills, and art historical research that conservation brings together. I value the opportunity to uncover the materials, techniques, and stories behind each painting through close observation and treatment.
